Our Story – From Vision to Reality
In 2019, a new chapter for Ruangwa began. When businessman and farmer Mparuka Hashim, now the proud Director of Ruangwa Pride Hotel, learned of the district’s remarkable mineral discoveries—gold, iron ore, and graphite—he recognized more than just an economic boom. He saw a unique opportunity.
As researchers, investors, and mining experts poured into Ruangwa, one glaring gap became clear: the absence of a world-class hotel to welcome and host distinguished visitors. Mr. Mparuka envisioned a hospitality destination that would not only meet international standards but also reflect the warmth, culture, and potential of the region.
Guided by this vision, he set out to create Ruangwa Pride Hotel—a beacon of comfort, style, and professionalism in Southern Tanzania. Construction began in 2019, and by December 2022, the dream was fully realized with the grand opening of a facility designed to elevate both local tourism and the regional economy.
